BLAIRSTOWN, NJ — April 23rd — Morris Township Station 17 requested mutual help for a car fire near Centre Hill Road and Allport Cutoff, and the Blairstown Volunteer Fire Company responded.
Engine-Tanker 16 supported suppression efforts on a well-involved vehicle by arriving and providing water to Engine-Rescue 17. In places where access to hydrants is restricted, tanker operations are nonetheless essential for maintaining a consistent water supply during emergencies.
Crews were removed from the area and quickly went back to work after helping with the water supply.
In order to sustain effective operations and guarantee that sufficient resources are available for working incidents, departments must respond to each other's needs.
