Dorothy, NJ - Dorothy Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a woods fire in the Cumberland section of Maurice River Township after a truck lost a tire, causing sparks that quickly ignited multiple areas of brush along the roadway.

Upon arrival, crews found several small fires spreading through the wooded area. Engine 1272 worked to contain and extinguish one of the active fires, while Tender 1270 supported operations by supplying water to assisting forest fire units.

Thanks to coordinated efforts, the fires were brought under control before they could spread further into the surrounding woods.
