Allamuchy Tackles Two Vehicle Fires

ALLAMUCHY, NJ - At 9:40 A.M. on April 5th, Allamuchy Station 91 was dispatched to Route 80 near MM 17 for a reported vehicle fire. Chief 91 went responding moments after dispatch, along with a full crew in Engine 91-61. Upon arrival on scene, Chief 91 advised dispatch that the rear of a dump truck was well involved. Tanker 91-71 went responding shortly after Engine 61, and upon arrival of 91-61, crews quickly extinguished the dump truck. As crews cleared the scene and were en route back to station, Station 91 was dispatched back to Route 80, this time eastbound at MM 21, for a second vehicle fire. Chief 91 arrived quickly and advised incoming crews of a fully involved BMW in the rest area. Crews from 91-61 and 91-71 were on scene within minutes of dispatch and quickly knocked the fire. Crews were clear of Route 80 and returned to the station around 11:30 A.M.
