Vehicle Fire and Overturned Crash in Blandon

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On March 31, the Blandon Fire Department continued training and community preparations while responding to many emergencies.

One of the calls involved a car crashing into a tree and a front porch, and upon arrival, there was an active engine compartment fire. Crews worked to secure the area and put out the fire. Another event was a multi-vehicle collision in which one of the vehicles overturned and came to rest up an embankment. Firefighters assisted with scene safety and operations alongside mutual aid.

Members undertook a work detail prior to an Easter egg hunt and took part in training on flammable gas detection in addition to emergency responses.
