Fitchburg, MA - Group 4 companies responded to a reported residential fire in the downtown area, where occupants had safely evacuated after noticing smoke coming from a locked bedroom.
First-arriving crews encountered heavy smoke and fire showing from a second-floor window. Firefighters rapidly deployed multiple attack lines, secured a water supply, and used an aerial ladder to access the roof.
Crews achieved a quick knockdown and conducted extensive overhaul to check for extension, successfully confining the fire to a single bedroom.
