Multi-Vehicle Crash on Route 2 Leaves One Dead, Several Injured
Lancaster, MA - Lancaster Fire and Police responded to a serious multi-vehicle crash on Route 2 eastbound, where initial reports indicated a collision with unknown conditions. Upon arrival, crews confirmed a three-vehicle accident involving two SUVs in a head-on collision, with a third vehicle sideswiping the scene shortly after impact.
First responders conducted a rapid assessment, locating one unresponsive driver with life-threatening injuries, two occupants with serious injuries, and a fourth patient with minor injuries. Additional ambulances and paramedic units were requested to assist with patient care and transport.
Two patients were transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, while another was taken to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased due to the severity of their injuries. A fourth patient was transported for evaluation of minor injuries.
