Dallas, Georgia, April 19th, 2022. At 6:48AM Paulding County 911 received multiple calls for a house fire located at 14 Courthouse Park Drive, in the Temple community.

Prior to fire department arrival, callers advised 911 Officers that victims might still be trapped inside the home, possibly including a disabled veteran.

Seven minutes after dispatch (at 6:55AM), units arrived and encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the residence. Several residents who were able to escape the fire, including the disabled veteran, confirmed that another male occupant was still trapped in the kitchen area.

PCFD’s Investigators have requested assistance from the State of Georgia’s Fire Marshall to determine the cause and origin of the fire.

Paulding County’s Medical Examiner will release information on the 83 year-old deceased victim pending notification of next-of-kin.

Engines 4, 7, 14, Rescue 4, Squad 1, Truck 2, and several command officers responded to the incident.
