1st Responders in Suffolk Thank Healthcare Workers On the Front Lines of COVID-19 .

Riverhead NY_ On Tuesday April 14th Firefighters and EMS personnel from Eastern Suffolk County Set out to thank healthcare workers and Staff working at the Peconic Bay Medical Center which is a Northwell Health hospital on Eastern Long Island. Firefighters from the Riverhead fire department got together with several other agencies to put together a parade passing by the hospital.

Due to social distancing the parade did not stop and all firefighters and EMS providers remained in their vehicles. However they did uses their sirens and wave to the hospital staff as a show of support. Departments that participated included Riverhead FD, Manorville FD, Wading River FD, Jamesport FD , Eastport FD , Mattituck FD , Cutchogue FD, East Quogue FD , Riverhead Town Fire Marshals , Flanders Northampton Ambulance and Riverhead PD. Riverhead Fire Police and Riverhead Town Police assisted with stopping traffic at County Rd 58 & Roanoke Ave during the duration of the 1st Responders Parade.
