This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On April 10, at around 4:01 p.m., the Rindge Fire Department arrived at 38 Amalia Way in response to a report of an excavator fire that resulted in one person being hurt.

When units like Engine 2, Tanker 1, Rescue 1, and Utility 1 arrived, they saw that the excavator was severely involved. While requesting mutual aid from the Jaffrey Fire Department, crews launched a fire attack. When they arrived, a second handline was set up to help with suppression.

The operator was treated by rescue workers for burn injuries, which were subsequently determined to be second-degree burns. After being assessed on the spot, the patient was driven to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle.

The equipment's fluid cleanup was aided by additional resources. Seven Rindge personnel were involved in the event, which was led by Chief Bob Faas.
