FRANKLIN, MA — March 26th — Following information from the Metacomet Emergency Communications Center, the Franklin Fire Department, located at 40 W Central St., responded to a reported structure fire at 9 Willow Street. When units arrived, they discovered that the fire had spread beyond the kitchen area. They launched an interior attack while looking for additional spread. Bystanders took two pets from the house and took them to a vet.

On-site assistance was provided by mutual aid organizations from Bellingham, Medway, Norfolk, Plainville, and Wrentham. During the incident, the Foxboro Fire Department maintained reaction readiness throughout the town by providing station coverage. Residential reactions are still frequently prompted by kitchen fires, which frequently call for coordinated fire attack and ventilation.
