Mutual Aid Assists at Weare Crash Scene

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

WEARE, NH — March 27th — A motor vehicle rollover with potential entrapment was reported on River Road, prompting the Weare Fire Rescue, located at 144 North Stark Highway, to react. A commercial vehicle had overturned down an embankment when Weare Ambulance 2 arrived. Before arriving, crews verified that every person had left. After being assessed on the spot, two patients refused to be transported. In order to support operations, the Goffstown Fire Department arrived on mutual aid with an engine.

Fluids pouring into a nearby stream, a regular issue in traffic accidents involving commercial trucks, prompted a request to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. Before clearing, firefighters stayed on the scene to remove vehicles and control hazards. There were no reported injuries that needed to be transported once the event was handled.
