TYNGSBOROUGH, MA — March 26th — The Tyngsborough Fire Department, located at 26 Kendall Road, responded to a home fire at 17 Willowdale Avenue. While constructing a water supply, first-arriving units observed fire showing and launched an internal assault. To make sure everyone was out of the house, crews performed primary and secondary searches. As firemen finished ventilation and examined for extension, more handlines were stretched.

Tyngsborough Police helped with scene safety and traffic management. In order to support operations and give station coverage, mutual aid organizations responded. In a short period of time, the fire was contained. There were no reports of significant injuries. As is typical with house fires, the cause is still being investigated. The importance of early warning and functional smoke alarms is still emphasized by officials.
