Ansonia Fire Department Quickly Controls Overnight Car Fire

ANSONIA, CT — March 31st — Shortly after midnight, the Ansonia Fire Department was called to a suspected car fire on Farrel Boulevard.


When units arrived, they discovered a passenger car on fire. In a flash, crews extended a handline and started fighting the fire. The fire was quickly contained, reducing damage to the immediate area and preventing future spread.


Deputy Chief Delucia established command and coordinated operations on scene. Firefighters remained on location for overhaul and to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
