This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

NORTH EAST, PA — March 18th — When a multi-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 90 westbound close to mile marker 33, the Fuller Hose Company arrived on a mutual aid assignment to help the Harborcreek Fire Department. After arriving, Rescue Engine 204 was tasked with controlling fluids that had spilled into the road and securing automobiles. In addition to supporting EMS operations, crews attempted to stabilize cars and lessen dangers.

Because of the volume of traffic and restricted access, highway events in this corridor frequently call for collaboration between several agencies. While other companies were positioned nearby to provide support, units worked with the Harborcreek Fire Department, Harborcreek Township 237, East Erie County EMS, and EmergyCare. Until the risks were reduced and traffic could resume, the situation was controlled.
