NEWBURGH, NY - Winona Lake FD responded to a reported trailer fire on Interstate 84 westbound at mile marker 35.3 on April 13th. Command arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire with exposure issues to brush, and requested Orange Lake FD's alarm resounded. Mutual aid was requested from Orange Lake FD for 1 Engine, Coldenham FD for 2 tankers and Air National Guard FD with 1 tanker to the scene. The fire in the trailer, which was loaded with garbage, was quickly knocked down. Hazmat and NYS Police were requested to the scene.
