Mutual Aid Keeps Coverage Intact During Major Incident

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

ROSELLE, NJ — 12th March — According to the Hillside FMBA, Roselle was given Engine 1, Tour #3 crew, to cover the station while the Roselle Fire Department dealt with a third-alarm structure fire. While Roselle units were dedicated to the fire scene, the assignment guaranteed continuous emergency response support. During prolonged crises, standby workers are frequently utilized to respond to additional calls from the host town, such as fire and emergency medical services.

While keeping an eye on conditions and staying prepared, Engine 1 and its crew continued to be dispatchable. In regional fire service operations, mutual assistance coverage is essential because it enables departments to assist one another during times of heavy demand while maintaining uniform service levels for locals.
