Quick Response Contains Gas Pump Fire at Delta Station

Colesville Fire Company personnel arrived at the Delta gas station on May 20th in response to a gasoline pump fire.
Firefighters were informed while responding, according to officials, that county communications was getting many reports indicating the fire was growing. While New Jersey State Police officers worked to turn on the emergency fuel shutoff system, Deputy Chief Snook arrived first and verified that there was an active fire.
In order to stop the situation from getting worse, firefighters swiftly put out the fire and finished overhaul operations. According to department authorities, the emergency disconnect system's activation and the responding staff's quick actions were crucial in reducing the incident's severity.
Without causing any more damage, the fire was contained.
