Gas Leak and Alarm Call Managed Without Incident

SPARTA, NJ — 30th March — Throughout the day, the Sparta Township Fire Department, located at 141 Woodport Road in Sparta, NJ, responded to consecutive calls, keeping units engaged in several situations. When a propane leak was detected, engines 3 and 5 were the first to arrive at Cheyenne Trail. In accordance with regular gas leak procedures, crews closed the area, kept an eye on conditions, and managed the hazard.


Both companies were sent to Trapasso Drive shortly after clearing due to an activated fire alarm. After inspecting the building, firefighters verified that there was no ongoing fire. Gas leak and alarm activation incidents are frequent and necessitate thorough investigation.
