Oakland Firefighters Contain Multi-Unit Apartment Fire, Conduct Multiple Rescues

Oakland, NJ - Oakland firefighters responded to a residential structure fire in a multi-story, 32-unit building on the 200 block of Fairmount Avenue, where fire was reported on the third floor.
Crews arrived quickly and performed multiple rescues while assisting with the evacuation of both the main fire building and an adjoining 34-unit structure. Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the blaze, which impacted several units.
Through coordinated efforts, crews successfully prevented the fire from spreading further throughout the large residential complex. The incident was ultimately brought under control.
