Shirley NY- On Saturday April 11th the Brookhaven Fire Department was activated for a hazardous condition on Stuart rd. Chief of Department Peter DiPinto Jr. was first en-route followed by Assistance Chief Dan DiPinto. County advised the chiefs that they were responding to a report of wires down on Stuart off William Floyd Parkway Southbound.
On arrival Chief Dipnto found a wire down. Engine 5-3-9 arrived on scene the crew came up to the scene and used the hotstick to secure the wires. Rescue 3 also came into the scene as well but held their crew on the truck as PSEG was already on scene when they arrived and working on the scene. The crew was able to quickly secure the scene and turn it over to the power company. Fire Police Closed the intersection of Stuart Rd and William Floyd Parkway during the duration of the alarm. No injuries were reported.
