Engine 43 Quickly Knocks Down Bobcat Loader Fire

— April 4—At at 8:30 p.m., the Franklin Fire Company responded to a reported barn fire on Gabler Road. Initial reports indicated that a Bobcat loader was on fire inside a garage.


When Chief 46 arrived, he verified that there was a working car fire. In order to stop the fire from spreading to the structure, Engine 43 swiftly used a handline to put it out. Crews checked to make sure the fire didn't spread.


Station 4 units and a tanker from the Letterkenny Army Depot Fire Department remained on the scene after the incident was cut back after size-up and suppression.


Coordination and a quick fire attack reduced damage and kept the situation limited to the affected equipment.
