Vehicle Strikes Home, Two Rescued with Minor Injuries

Chambersburg, PA On March 11, just before 4 p.m., Franklin Fire Company units responded to a reported car accident on Edenville Road at Lawyer Road. According to reports, a truck struck a house and left its occupants stuck on its side. Chief 46 arrived and established command, confirming entrapment. Crews from Squad 41 and Engine 45 initiated a “tie-back” stabilization before performing a roof flap to access the patients.
Both victims were extricated and transferred to EMS within approximately 20 minutes of arrival. Patients were transported by ground with minor injuries. The residence sustained minor damage and was deemed secure. Fire police units managed traffic control and roadway closure, while Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg are handling the investigation.
