Franklin Fire Company Handles Technical Rescue Call

— April 3nd — Franklin Fire Company units were sent to Clover Drive in response to a reported trench rescue involving a worker who was stuck up to the waist.


West End Fire & Rescue Company and the Letterkenny Army Depot Fire Department were among the mutual aid rescue organizations that responded alongside Station 4. In order to stop the trench from collapsing further, crews arrived to start the assessment and stabilization process.


Trench rescue incidents require specialized operations, including shoring, scene control, and coordinated patient removal. Responding companies worked together to manage the hazard while preparing for safe extrication.
