Rangeley, ME- Rangeley Fire Rescue responded to a reported chimney fire in Dallas Plantation, which was quickly upgraded to a second-alarm structure fire after reports of flames extending into the attic.
Upon arrival, the incident commander confirmed a working fire, prompting full engagement of responding units along with mutual aid from MaineHealth EMS and area departments. Firefighters worked efficiently to contain the fire and prevent further extension within the structure.
The fire was brought under control in a timely manner, followed by overhaul operations to eliminate any remaining hot spots. Crews successfully limited damage to the home, and no injuries were reported.
