TALLEVAST, FL - After three decades of dedicated service to Southern Manatee Fire & Rescue District, Fire Marshal Leslie Adent retired. Her career began as an on call volunteer firefighter, before working her way up to full time and then to the Fire Prevention Bureau. Once in the Fire Prevention Bureau she continued her schooling, working her way up through the ranks. Fire Marshal Leslie Adent received many awards throughout her career on both state and county levels. Her fire prevention programs that were implemented in the Southern Manatee Fire District had a positive outcome in the community.
