Coordinated Response Ensures Safe Landing Zone at Hamilton Commons

Mays Landing NJ - Laureldale Fire/Rescue responded alongside Cologne Volunteer Fire Company and Mays Landing Fire Department to Hamilton Commons in the Cologne section of the Township for a landing zone assignment.


Chief 18-30 arrived first and established command, confirming the area was safe for helicopter operations. Engine 18-33 followed and set up the landing zone, securing the perimeter to ensure a controlled environment. Once the zone was established, personnel assisted the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad with patient operations.


Command maintained direct communication with NorthSTAR and SouthSTAR Air Medical Helicopters, coordinating a safe and efficient landing. After the patient was loaded and the helicopter departed, command was cleared without incident.


Also assisting on scene were the Township of Hamilton Police Department and Township of Hamilton Communications. Excellent teamwork by all agencies ensured a smooth and successful operation.
