Mutual Aid Coverage Supports Operations at Roselle Incident

WESTFIELD, NJ — March 12th — Engine 4 was given a cover assignment by the Town of Westfield Fire Department while firemen worked at a third-alarm structure fire in Roselle, New Jersey. When local units are dedicated to prolonged incidents, coverage assignments are used throughout Union County to sustain fire protection.


In order to enhance the area's total response coverage, Engine 4 moved to a designated station and continued to be ready for extra calls .According to officials, the action guarantees that resources are available for large-scale operations and helps preserve reaction times. Throughout the deployment, no further incidents involving the covering unit were reported. When activities steadied, leadership freed Engine 4 and brought it back to Westfield.
