Driver Sought After Hit-and-Run Rollover Crash in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY – Newburgh FD responded to a rollover/hit-and-run at Carpenter Ave and First Street on April 9th. City of Newburgh Police and EMS were on scene. The driver of the vehicle was out of the car upon arrival. Firefighters used cribbing to stabilize the vehicle and applied Speedy-Dry to fluids on the roadway. Town of Newburgh EMS evaluated the driver, who refused medical treatment. Firefighters remained on scene awaiting a tow truck. City of Newburgh Police obtained the license plate from the vehicle that fled the scene and were attempting to locate the driver. City of Newburgh Police are investigating the cause.
