Early on Saturday morning, the Cortlandville Fire Department responded to a reported dumpster fire behind A&W Restaurant.

On August 29, at around 2:30 a.m., the call was received. When firefighters arrived, they discovered that a dumpster behind the restaurant was the source of an ongoing fire.

Before the fire could spread to the restaurant or other neighboring buildings, workers swiftly put it out. The Cortlandville Fire Department reports that there were no reported injuries or damage to the building or nearby structures.
