WASHINGTON, PA — March 26th — Just before the East Beau Street exit on Interstate 70 westbound, firefighters from the South Strabane Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle rollover with entrapment. One person was stuck inside the car when the crews arrived. To safely remove the patient, firefighters steadied the car and finished an extrication. After being assessed, Ambulance & Chair EMS, Inc. took the occupant to a nearby hospital.

The North Strabane Township Fire Department and the City of Washington Fire Department offered mutual aid support. Due to traffic and road conditions, incidents along Interstate 70 frequently call for coordinated efforts involving fire, EMS, and law enforcement. Before clearing the area and reopening the road, units worked on the scene for a while.
