Fall River, MA - Firefighters responded to 988 Stafford Road on April 9th for a report of smoke coming from around the chimney. When the first units arrived they reported smoke showing from the eaves. Ladder 2 threw the aerial ladder to the roof, while Engines 4 and 5 both laid attack lines through the front and side entries. The fire appeared to follow the chimney flue from the first floor to the roof, with fire breaking through to the exterior in several places.
