EMMAUS, PA - At 11:30 a.m. on April 8th, the Emmaus, Vera Cruz, Western Salisbury and Lower Macungie Fire Departments, along with Emmaus EMS, were dispatched for a dwelling fire at 1255 West Broad Street in the borough of Emmaus. Emmaus police arrived on the scene and said they had a smoke inhalation victim and smoke in the basement. Engine 7 and Chief 7 arrived on the scene and advanced a hose line into the basement and had a dryer fire. The fire was extinguished in the dryer, and the dryer was removed from the basement and ventilation was performed.
