This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Allegheny, PA - During the recent wind storm that moved through the area, Station 154 crews responded to and assisted with numerous incidents throughout the township and surrounding mutual-aid districts. Among the calls handled were two brush fires, two reports of possible structure fires, and multiple situations involving downed trees and wires. Crews remained busy throughout the event, supporting a high volume of emergency requests across the region.

Because of the widespread impact, utility companies have been inundated with service calls. Residents are reminded to remain patient as power restoration efforts continue. Any downed power line should always be treated as live—avoid the area and report it immediately.
