Fall River Crews Battle Room and Contents Fire, Rescue Multiple Pets

FALL RIVER, MA - On Wednesday, April 1st, firefighters responded to 54 Vale Street in the south end of the city. Car 3 arrived on scene, established command and reported smoke showing from the third floor of a three-story occupied wood-frame. Engine 5 dropped a supply line at the hydrant and radioed Engine 4 to charge the line. The crew of Engine 5 made an aggressive attack and reported heavy fire on the third floor. Meanwhile, Command called for an additional pump to respond while members of Ladder Two vented the third floor. Several pets were rescued and crews made a quick knockdown.
