Blue Knob Firefighters Assist at Overnight Structure Fire

The Blue Knob Volunteer Fire Company responded overnight on March 15th to a residential structure fire in Newry Borough.


Upon arrival, workers were assigned to help with fire suppression operations, while others attempted to construct a supplementary water supply. Firefighters installed about 500 feet of 5-inch supply hose to aid the ongoing firefighting operations. Personnel worked with other responding agencies to contain the fire and ensure a consistent water supply for crews on the scene.
