NORTHAMPTON, MA — March 30th — After receiving a report of a structure fire, Northampton Fire Rescue sent all of its units to Crescent Street. When Engine 1 arrived first, they discovered a tiny fire in a closet in a bedroom. In order to confine damage to the closet area, firefighters swiftly put out the fire by using a handline. After that, workers aired the building to get rid of smoke and looked for extensions in adjacent rooms and the attic.

Electrical issues or stored goods close to heat sources are frequently connected to closet fires in residential buildings. Firefighters' prompt action and early warning prevented the issue from spreading to other areas of the house. Before ending the call, businesses stayed on the scene for safety inspections and overhauls. During the response, no injuries were reported.
