This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Lynn, MA - Fire crews responded to 29 Linden St. following an initial report of flames coming from within the wall of one apartment. Upon arrival, companies discovered that the fire had extended throughout the structure, spreading through the walls and ceilings across all floors.

An aggressive interior operation was launched, with firefighters deploying five hand lines to contain the blaze. Crews successfully stopped the fire before it could extend into the attic, preventing further damage to the building.

The fire was ultimately knocked down, and companies began clearing the scene. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was notified to assist six adults and one child who were displaced as a result of the incident.

During the operation, new recruits were brought to the scene and assigned to support roles. They assisted by replacing and supplying firefighters with fresh SCBA bottles as crews cycled in and out of the building. This task, a key component of their in-house training ahead of their upcoming departure to the state fire academy, provided valuable hands-on experience. Their performance not only reinforced their skills but also helped build trust among active personnel during a live emergency situation.
