Niverville, NY - Niverville Fire Department, along with Valatie Rescue, responded to a brush fire on Chapel Drive Extension. Car 3 arrived and found an area approximately 50 by 30 feet burning into the woods. Due to limited access, the department’s UTV was required to reach and extinguish the fire.

A nearby pond allowed the UTV to establish a draft and supply water directly to the fire. Crews quickly brought the incident under control, and all units returned to service in about an hour.
