Edgewater Firefighters Assist at Second Alarm Fire in Cliffside Park

River Edge , NJ - Edgewater Fire Department was requested to provide an engine to assist Cliffside Park at a second alarm structure fire. EW-8 and Engine 1 responded and were initially assigned as the FAST team, standing by to perform firefighter rescue operations if needed.


Upon arrival, crews were quickly put to work conducting checks for fire extension in both the B and D exposures, ensuring that the blaze had not spread to adjacent structures. Their rapid and thorough assessment helped contain the incident and prevent additional damage

Once the main body of fire was declared under control, Edgewater units were reassigned to provide coverage for the Borough, maintaining operational readiness while Cliffside Park companies worked to wrap up the scene and return to service.
