UPPER HANOVER TWP., PA - On Sunday, April 4th at 10:20 A.M., the East Greenville Fire Co. was dispatched to a building fire inside BHL trucking company on Gravel Pile in the township. The original call was for an appliance fire inside the building, but the call was upgraded on arrival.

The report was called into Montgomery County Dispatch by one of the fire company's engineers who lives a few houses up from the location. Upon arrival, first responders had a smoke condition both in and outside the building. After entering the building they found a heater that was on fire due to a malfunction. Fire extinguishers were used to bring it under control. There were no injuries.

Responding along with East Greenville were fire companies from Pennsburg, Hereford Twp. and Eastern Berks, as well as fire police from Pennsburg, Hereford and Red Hill.
