In the evening hours of April 3rd, 2026 the Piscataway Fire Departments were dispatched to 1470 Division Ave for a house on fire. Shortly after, following multiple callers and patrol arriving on scene, they confirmed the house was on fire which transmitted a Township general and 1st alarm. When the chief arrived on scene, he had heavy fire from multiple windows on the second floor and confirmed the working fire. The first due engine took the plug at Harvard cross of division, laid in and quickly stretched an attack line to begin suppression. Upon crews making entry they encountered heavy fire in the stairs leading up to division 2. Crews worked for around an hour and placed the fire under control after extensive overhaul and ventilation. Units on scene included, New Market engines 2 & 3, truck 6, Arbor Hose engine 641, 642, Plainfield engine 3, East Franklin squad 27, and Middlesex engine.
