Quick, Coordinated Response Contained Walnut Street House Fire
Baden, PA - Fire crews responded swiftly to a reported dwelling fire on Walnut Street, with automatic aid units assisting in the operation. A firefighter from Harmony who lives nearby arrived first and confirmed an active fire.
Engine 47 was the first apparatus on scene and initiated an aggressive interior attack, advancing a hose line to the main body of the fire. Crews from Ladder 71, Engine 48, and Engine 91 supported operations by deploying a backup line, checking for fire extension, and placing ladders to ensure secondary egress for interior teams.
Additional personnel from Stations 47 and 69 conducted overhaul operations to fully extinguish remaining hot spots. Rescue 23 established a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) to ensure firefighter safety, while Rehab 49 provided on-site rehabilitation services, assisted by Economy EMS and Baden QRS. Support was also provided by BVRPD.
The coordinated efforts of all responding departments contributed to the effective management of the incident.
