Fire Department Provides Overnight and Early Morning Mutual Aid for Gas Leak Ventilation

Hinsdale, NY - The department was requested to provide mutual aid to Mattydale for ventilation operations, assisting in clearing a large commercial space that had accumulated high levels of natural gas due to a broken pipe.
Later, the department was alerted again by Onondaga Fire Control to assist National Grid with further ventilation efforts. Upon arrival, Engine 8 and TP6 detected high gas levels inside the structure.
As crews prepared to begin ventilation, they requested additional mutual aid from the Mattydale Fire Department
