Old Saybrook, CT - In the early hours of March 17, 2026, the Old Saybrook Fire Department’s Rapid Intervention Team responded to a two-alarm structure fire on Old Black Point Road in East Lyme at approximately 1:21 a.m. After assisting at the fire scene, the crew was reassigned at 2:24 a.m. to handle a separate incident involving a tree that had fallen onto a house in the Society Road area of East Lyme.
