East Haddam, CT - On March 14, 2026, at approximately 10:15 a.m., the East Haddam Fire Department responded to a reported electrical issue at a residence on Mott Lane. Units including Car 15, Engine 4-15, Tanker 1-15, Tanker 2-15, and Utility 2-15 were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, personnel determined that a defective lighting fixture was the source of the problem. The situation was quickly brought under control, and no injuries were reported.
Earlier that same day, the department had already been active, responding to a mutual aid structure fire in East Hampton as well as three medical emergencies during the overnight hours.
