Apartment Building Fire in Norwalk

NORWALK, CT - The City of Norwalk Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Thursday, March 30th, at 8:59 P.M.


The fire was located at #30 Day St. in a four-story apartment building. Initial reports were for flames coming from the roof.


Upon arrival, Engine 3 encountered flames coming from the roof of the building. An aerial ladder was raised and firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire within 10 minutes of arrival. The fire was contained to a first-alarm assignment consisting of 3 Engines, 2 Ladder Trucks, 1 Rescue Truck, and a Command vehicle totaling 25 personnel.


Currently, there are no occupants displaced by this blaze. There were no reported injuries to firefighters as well as no reported injuries to civilians. The Norwalk Fire Marshal Division is investigating the cause of the fire.
