Cossayuna and Hebron Firefighters Train on Ice Rescue

On March 11th, members of the Cossayuna Volunteer Fire Department practiced ice water rescue with firemen from the Hebron Fire Department at Mill Pond. Firefighters put on ice rescue suits and rehearsed breaking through the ice and rescuing each other from the cold water and dangerous ice conditions. The hands-on training allowed firefighters to refresh their skills from cold-water and ice rescue occurrences.
