The members of the Bergen County Firemen's Home Association met at the Harrington Park Fire House in January to start the stuffing of the envelopes for the fundraising efforts of the organization. Monies raised by the fundraiser help pay for entertainment, refreshments, the food for the barbecue, gifts to the residents and for items that residents might need at the NJ State Firemen’s Home. This fundraiser has only been the success it has been with the support of fire companies all over Bergen County and we appreciate any donations that are given to the organization.

We continued our support to the residents of the NJ State Firemen’s Home with our first meeting and scheduled entertainment and refreshments on February 18th. In partnership with the Recreation staff at the home, we hosted the afternoon’s entertainment. We had a nice afternoon of music and conversation during the breaks for the residents with light refreshments served by members of the staff. Country singer David Remlis entertained the residents for the afternoon and it was a great concert for everyone who joined in that afternoon.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Bergen County Firemen's Home Association, please attend one of our meetings at the NJ State Firemen's Home in Boonton, NJ. Our meetings are 1:00pm on April 14th, June 8th, August 3rd, October 13th, and the 1st of December for our Annual Holiday Party. We are looking for new members from fire companies all over Bergen County.
