Quick Response Contained Commercial Garage Fire on Metacom Avenue

March 1, 2026 — The Bristol Fire Department responded at approximately 10:00 PM to a reported structure fire at 367 Metacom Avenue, where crews quickly located and extinguished a fire within a commercial garage. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered active fire conditions inside the structure and initiated an aggressive interior attack, bringing the incident under control in a short time. Mutual aid assistance was provided by the Bristol Police Department and the Warren Fire Department, supporting operations and scene management. Thanks to the coordinated response, the fire was contained before it could extend further within the building. No injuries were reported, and crews remained on scene to conduct overhaul and ensure the area was safe.
