Mutual Aid Responds to Structural Damage Call in North Hills

NORTH HILLS, NY — March 23rd — The Manhasset-Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department was called to a reported car crash on Kensington Circle in North Hills. When firefighters arrived, they discovered a single car that had lost control and hit a house's garage, causing structural damage and a gas leak. While inspecting the structure, crews secured the area and started hazard control.
The Nassau County Technical Rescue Team response matrix was triggered as a result of the damage. To help stabilize the garage, units from the Rockville Center Fire Department, Elmont Fire Department, Elmont Rescue 2, and Port Washington Fire Department arrived. The department ambulance unit and Companies 1, 2, 3, and 5 were present at the site. There were no reported injuries.
